DIENES presents slitting solutions on techtextil 2015 in Frankfurt/Germany

At techtextil 2015 in hall 3.0 stand J31 DIENES will present a selection of slitting tools. The focus is on solutions for shear and crush cut, heat cut and edge trimming.

An innovation is the new crush cut knife holder for textiles and nonwoven, which impresses mainly with its improved case of operation. The crush cut knife can now comfortably be removed to the front. In addition, the holder is always at the ideal 90 degree angle to the crossbeam due to a widened design. The holder can be used without difficulty in new installations and to retrofit existing installations. For the cutting of synthetic fabrics and technical textiles the company also presents a heat cut holder, which can be heated up to 750 °C. By means of high temperatures the material to be cut is separated with a clean cutting edge and at the same time welded at the edges. Depending on the material to be cut a slitting speed up to 70 m/min. can be reached. Optionally DIENES can provide an electronic thermo control for a stepless temperature adjustment according to material thickness and web speed.

For the edge trimming of textiles DIENES provides manual, semi-automatic and automatic trimming stations. Depending on the need of a centre cut there is a choice between a C-frame with traverses or a free standing C-frame. All slitting components (top knives, knife holders, bottom knifes and bottom knife motors) are choosen according to the material to be cut. Thereby the top and bottom knives are fixed in their position to each other so that no adjustments have to be made, except for the slitting width. Left and right knife holder designs provide an ideal cutting edge on both sides. Moreover the DIENES trimming stations and slitting systems are also availabe as fully automatic adjustement SIMU-FLASH, which impresses with highest precision and very short positioning time due to simultaneous adjustment. On demand the trimming station can be supplemented with edge strip suction.
