As well as collaborating in sales and marketing, the two groups will share quality and technical information, and product development to provide "seamless supply" to customers acoss all their markets.

Georgia-Pacific's Steve Klinger, vp-packaging operations, added: "We are excited about this international alliance, which will allow us both to provide additional value propositions for existing and future customers".
David S Smith supplies the European market with its sister company Kayserberg Packaging, and through the Avantus alliance with Saica and Kappa. Georgia-Pacific is one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of pulp and paper, employing over 50,000 people at more than 500 locations in North America.
