Cutting system boosts short run capabilities

8 January 2013

Clondalkin Consumer Denekamp has invested in a new cutting system to enhance its growing folding carton product range for the cosmetics, healthcare, environmental, agricultural and industrial markets. The investment in a Wohlenberg 132 guillotine with a Baumann loader and off-loader strengthens Denekamp’s position as a short run folding carton specialist.

Ken Haan, general manager Clondalkin Consumer Denekamp and Leeuwarden, says: “The investment will allow us to turn around large volumes of board into sheet sizes suitable for small to medium sized print runs, vastly improving the efficiency of our paper handling and cutting. By keeping various board grades in stock, we’re able to respond to any request at short notice and offer ultra-short lead-times on production and delivery.”

He adds: “This is a significant investment for us and has streamlined operations in the cuttings department, increasing efficiency, as well as improving the working environment of our staff. This highly sophisticated equipment means that we’re in an even stronger position to meet our customers’ requirements for fast turnaround on short to medium sized print runs without compromising on quality.”
