DS Smith Tri-Wall has developed a corrugated board to protect ferrous metal against corrosion, increase the shelf life of engineered products and help to reduce the cost of transit.
Available in the full heavy duty range of corrugated materials, the VCI (vapour-phase corrosion inhibitor) board is produced by combining impregnated liner with the normal grade specifications. It can be used for cases, internal fittings or both and will remain effective for up to two years, the company claims.
