The new blade-free Safe-Slab core recycler from Appleton Manufacturing unwinds scrap from cores quickly and safely, allowing the core to be re-used and the scrap to be saved or recycled.
Unlike other systems that utilise blades, the Safe-Slab is said to simply unwind remaining material without risk of injury to workers or damage to the core. Variable unwinding speeds allow for quick handling of rolls up to 1.5 m wide and 46 cm diameter.
The unit will plug into any grounded electrical outlet and has a small footprint of just 120 x 190 cm. Custom configurations are available.
