A new reel to reel flexo press aimed at converters and end users of packaging materials has been launched by Cooper Printing Machinery. The machine is equipped with a 500 mm diameter unwind with fully automatic tension control, one or two flexo printing units, IR/UV drying, and slitting and rewinding. It can be supplied with chambered doctor blades, ink pumps and many other options specified by the customer.
Available in standard printing widths of 350 and 550 mm, the press will handle all types of paper and film commonly used in the packaging industry. In addition, it can be used as a flood coater for digital primer, adhesive and varnish.
The print unit is also available as a retrofit for existing converting equipment.
