Converting Today team strengthened

13 March 2006

Leading European converting magazine Converting Today welcomes publisher Deborah Frazer and advertisement manager Maria Wallace to the staff.

Deborah Frazer joined publisher of the magazine Wilmington Media in October, 2003. She has 23 years of publishing experience, 10 spent with the Daily Mail Group managing both business and consumer journals and on-line media, and 10 with the United Newspaper Group. She has spent time leading up to her new role visiting events in the converting Industry and consulting with experts in the field. “I was lucky enough to sit between two winners of the innovative products awards at the ICE dinner in Munich and thoroughly enjoyed meeting key industry professionals. I look forward to seeing many more, “ she says.

“Converters have had to combine the challenges of a mature industry with keeping abreast of leading edge technologies. I understand the demands of managing change to remain competitive - Converting Today now provides vital information and brings buyers and sellers together on-line, as well as through our traditional paper media.

“Converting Today has an editor in Pauline Covell who has a deep understanding of the needs of the sector and demonstrates a love of her subject matter and a desire to see converters flourish. It is a pleasure to become publisher of a journal, which shows a passionate commitment to its industry. I am also delighted to be welcoming Maria Wallace back to Converting Today.”

Advertisement manager Maria Wallace is no stranger to Converting Today. The senior sales executive left the magazine in 2004 to join nimble, the Munich based organizer of ICE where, as sales manager, she has been mainly responsible for the UK and overseas markets.

Returning to the UK, she enthuses: “I’m looking forward to working once again with the editorial team and continuing to help raise and maintain the profile of suppliers to the converting industry.”
