A new conference, the Converting Summit 2006, will be staged by CMM International on September 12-14, 2006, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Centre in Schaumburg, IL, USA. Industry experts will address critical issues and delegates will learn about the latest innovations, applications, products and trends.
The preliminary conference programme includes: What is currently selling in the marketplace - what is Wal-Mart buying?; Crisis in Consumables Costs; Future Trends In Flexible Packaging; Security and RFID issues; Offshore competition and opportunity factors; Outsourcing; Flexo and Gravure - can they live together?; Trends in die cutting; "Converting" the commercial printer; and Digital printing technologies and trends.
A tabletop exhibition will also be featured. The cost to attend the conference is $695 for "early bird'' registration and $795 thereafter.
The conference will serve as a prelude to the CMM International 2007 show, which takes place on June 4-7, 2007, in Rosemont, near Chicago.
"The Converting Summit 2006 is the first in a series of initiatives to provide valuable information and educational opportunities to the converting industry on an on-going basis," says Jim Enos, CMM International show director and PennWell group publisher. "We will soon be announcing several new programmes, many in co-operation with our industry partners, that will provide converters with a variety of information in various formats on a 24/7 basis."
