A new converting show is to be held in Germany. Pacovent – the International Trade Fair for the Production and Processing of Packing Materials – has been launched by Koelnmesse. It will make its debut in Cologne from November 6-10, 2006. To be held every three years, the new event will showcase machinery and technology for the production and processing of packing materials and equipment to be used for the subsequent packaging of food, non essential provisions, beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as technical consumer products.
According to Koelnmesse: "To date, there has been no international trade fair offering a comparable level of professional expertise for this sector. Pacovent fills this gap by addressing the preliminary stage that leads up to packaging processes – the production and processing of packing materials and equipment. Leading producers and potential exhibitors have already shown tremendous interest in the event."
From 2006, four new halls will be available at the Cologne exhibition grounds.
