Converting change at Ipex 2006

27 September 2004

To provide a higher profile for paper converting and packaging production, Ipex 2006 has changed its halls layout. Originally located in Hall 5, these functions have now been transferred to Halls 1, 2 and 3 as part of an integrated post-press area.

Exhibition director Trevor Crawford explains: "As the lines between post-press and converting are becoming increasingly blurred, we've been working closely with exhibitors to find the best solution in terms of location. The decision to move to Halls 1, 2 and 3 will also benefit visitors by providing them with an end-to-end representation of the print and packaging industry in a single area."

The Halls will showcase the complete packaging workflow, with flexo printing, die cutting, folding and gluing, corrugated and board conversion, inspection and accessories - all in one zone. More than 20,000m2 of space is available and 61 per cent of this has already been reserved by names such as Bobst, Bielomatic, Ashe Converting, Körber Paperlink and Winkler & Dunnebier, says show organizer IIR.

Ipex 2006 will run from April 4 -11, at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
