Converflex/Grafitalia “exceeds expectations”

28 May 2013

The combined Converflex and Grafitalia event in Milan attracted 18,000 visitors over its 7-11 May run.

Guido Corbella, CEO of show organiser Centrexpo, summed up: "We received signals of confidence from exhibitors exceeding expectations. Printing, graphics and converting are flagship industries in Italy's economy and their excellence was recognised by the international delegations visiting the events. Many exhibitors, particularly in the digital printing area, reported successful business negotiations and an increased number of prospects.

"In addition, the quality of professional visitors has also improved as they have shown strong, tangible interest in innovation, the only element capable of ensuring competitiveness for companies. Such willingness to invest and innovate is however curbed by the lack of liquidity resulting from the severe economic crisis still in progress".

Converflex and Grafitalia will return in 2015, when the two shows will be staged jointly with the IPACK-IMA exhibition for processing and packaging technology, and Intralogistica Italia, a new event organised by Deutsche Messe in partnership with Ipack-Ima,focusing on integrated material handling, warehouse management and material warehousing systems.

The four shows will take place at Fiera Milano - Rho from 19-23 May 2015 and are expected to attract a total of over 2,500 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors.
