The Labelexpo Americas 2008 conference (running alongside the exhibition, September 9-11) will offer an extensive three-day programme covering all the hot topics in the industry, from digital printing and flexible packaging to sustainability and brand protection/security. The conference is sponsored by Avery Dennison.
The conference program, produced by TLMI, will have a strong emphasis on managing in the current economic climate, as well as new technology and opportunities. Session highlights include: Opportunities and challenges in the North America label markets; Maximising your potential in the current climate; Digital printing: what's next?; Sustainability: cradle to cradle packaging for value and profit; and a case study - Putting sustainability into practice at Wal-Mart
The final day will be entirely dedicated to brand protection and security, including: case studies from Underwriters Laboratories and HP; New solutions in substrates and pre-press; Conventional and digital printing/converting: different options; and a panel discussion by top label converters
Sessions can be booked individually and cost $150 in advance ($350 for three sessions) or $175 each at the show. The price includes free entry to Labelexpo Americas.
