Combat capable

24 June 2003

A delivery system for one-pass printing and converting of in-mould labels is now available for Gidue's new E-Combat servo driven narrow web press. "In the past, single pass printing and converting on rotary presses was not fully exploited because of the 'bottleneck' caused by inefficient label delivery and stacking," states Gidue md Federico d'Annuzio. "We have resolved these issues with the IML-EDL delivery system that provides seamless workflow."

The new system is equipped with a batch counting and final long 'buffer' delivery table where the stacked piles of in-mould labels printed face up can be easily collected. Optional top and bottom carton insertion can be added to the existing press configuration.
