Euralux O0830 and O0831 are two new Zeller+Gmelin adhesives for coldfoil stamping in conventional sheet-fed offset printing. are applied by means of a standard offset unit.
As a constant and controllable filmweight is essential to achieve good quality in foil stamping, Zeller+Gmelin now offers these adhesives in specially pigmented versions. Euralux O0830 is intended for the use in combination with gold foils and is therefore toned yellow; Euralux O0831 has been developed for use with silver foils and consequently has been coloured grey.
The pigmentation of the adhesives enables a densitometric measurement of the applied film weight – said to guarantee a constant application during production.
Further additions to the company’s range of adhesives for coldfoil stamping will be in the Uvalux range, suitable for UV curing sheet-fed offset application. Uvalux U0830 for use with gold foils and Uvalux U0831 for silver foils, are currently under development.
Zeller+Gmelin will introduce these two new UV adhesives at the forthcoming drupa exhibition (hall 3, stand 3B52).
