Polytype Converting has received an order from a Japanese/European Converter for the extension of an existing coating line with a new head, to be used for reverse side coating of UV curable silicones.
The web width is 1,040mm and the inerted silicone is to be applied onto 4.5 micron PET film
with a coating weight of 0.1-0.2g/m2 and a web speed of 500m/min. The coating method will be offset gravure roll and chamber doctor blade.
The UV curing station and inerted chamber has space for three high efficiency UV modules
with special broad radiation. The system is equipped with two lamps, each with a power rating of 200W/cm.
