CMM centre to "bridge narrow and mid web gap"

31 January 2007

A new ‘Narrow to Mid Web Technology Centre’ at CMM International 2007, in (Chicago, June 4-7), will feature operating equipment from leading manufacturers producing actual jobs on the show floor throughout the event. It has been jointly organized by CMM and the DiTrolio Flexographic Institute.

As well as answering visitor requests to see more running equipment on the show floor, the new technology centre “fills a void in the marketplace," according to show director Jim Enos. “Although there are shows where converters can see narrow web technology and other shows focus on mid web, this new centre will bridge the gap between narrow and mid web printing and converting."

Vince DiTrolio, founder and ceo of the DiTrolio Institute, adds: " Converters will be able to meet with technical people from the world's leading equipment suppliers on the show floor as well as receive certification training as part of the conference programme."

Located near Chicago, the DiTrolio Flexographic Institute works closely with industry suppliers and associations to provide certified training at all skill levels. It has trained and placed several hundred press operators throughout North and South America since its founding in 1999.
