CMD to show new bag making technology

In response to an increase in worldwide demand for consumer-friendly drawtape-style refuse bags, CMD will demonstrate the Model 1270GDS Global drawtape bag making system in booth S12028 at the International Plastics Showcase (NPE), in Chicago, during June 22-26, 2009.

The 1270GDS offers high production speeds of up to 183 m/min with flexible take-off options for rolled or folded bag dispensing and features optional print-to-seal registratation for high speed production of printed bags or film. It incorporates patented technology and is said offer cost, time and space savings.

An Ethernet based control system allows for remote troubleshooting and programming. A large, colour touchscreen and centralised line control simplify operation.

The Global Drawtape System can be configured with CMD’s Model 0330HSW Global high speed winder and will produce drawtape style bags on a roll, banded for retail merchandising. This servo driven machine produces coreless rolls at up to 30 cycles/min and is designed for high cycle production of small count rolls without limiting line speed.
