Expert in die cutting and creasing Cito-System uses Heidelberg machines exclusively for the seminars and technical training sessions at its Schwaig, Germany, facility. These sessions cover printing, die cutting, folding and gluing of packaging and folding cartons.
Heidelberg's Speedmaster SM 52-4 press is used to demonstrate the application of Cito's RSP in-line finishing system. Perforating, punching, creasing and cutting can all be performed on the machine in a single pass. Off-line finishing of printed sheets takes place on the the Diana 45 folder gluer, and Dymatrix 105 CS and Polar 115 die cutters. Cito supplies components for the Heidelberg machines.
The Cito training concept has also been extended to Heidelberg's Mönchengladbach site, where visitors can learn about blank separation and laminated corrugated board in the Postpress Democentre. Both sites are also used to trial new products and for intensive customer consultation.
