Chinese choose Martin

22 May 2006

Martin Automatic has sold an MBX butt splicer to Jiangsu Dadong Print Group, a tobacco packaging printer in Jiangsu Province, China, who has fitted it to a new eight colour Omet Multiflex 520 carton press.

Dadong vice director of equipment Julie Chen says: “The MBX has proved to be a piece of very high performance, reliable equipment, with excellent tension control and splicing. Compared to other splicers we have, it is much easier to operate.”

The Martin machine matches the press speed of 152m/min, and holds two full 1,500mm diameter rolls of paperboard up to 600 micron in thickness. It changes rolls at full press speed, without slowing or stopping, for maximum productivity and minimum material waste.
