C&H spurs colour capability

8 December 2004

A six colour separation process that can produce more than 40,000 special colours has been developed by Appleton's C&H Packaging operation. The company claims this new flexo printing capability will produce more accurate colour matching of spot colours, "pushing package graphics and visuals to a dynamic new level of visual presentation".

The new technique is said to deliver image detail, crispness and brilliance far superior to the traditional four colour process. It also simplifies each print job because fewer line colours means less makeready, fewer plates and wash-ups, thereby shortening production schedules, according to C&H, a converter of printed and unprinted flexible packaging materials for food and non food applications.
