CDIs boost NuMaber’s productivity and quality

8 September 2011

Italian flexo plate producer NuMaber is enjoying a significant improvement in quality and output after investing in EskoArtwork digital flexo technology. The company, based in Roncade, has installed four CDI Spark 5080 (format 1,270 x 2,032mm) systems, including two with HD Flexo for digital photopolymer engraving.

Combining the performance of 4,000dpi HD optics with exclusive screening technology, they are said to ensure sharper and more accurate imaging, as well as more than 60-line printing – particularly useful for labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons.

NuMaber specializes in digital photopolymer and laser engraving of rubber sleeves and cylinders for the packaging markets. General manager Livio Simionato comments: "Speed is one of our hallmarks, and the four EskoArtwork CDIs ensure stability and speed with the digital photopolymer process. We chose the systems especially for the writing quality level of the plates, which affords our customers more print definition and the use of more subtle media.”
