Cash in Waste Award winners

2 April 2007

Coating and laminating specialist Fantasticka won the Gold in the Cash in Waste Awards, sponsored by Converting Today, at the 2007 EFTA Print Awards. The Snetterton, UK based company, formerly known as Anglian Flexible Coatings, took the accolade for its "contribution to the saving of resources and reduction of waste".

Managing director Malcolm Swan commented: "When we started up production in early 2004, I vowed that we would make every effort possible never to be so wasteful or harmful to our environment. I am currently approaching another business, hoping some of our practices will be employed by them, too. If more people could be doing a bit more, then I truly feel we would all be a little bit better off. Then our environment would and should improve little by little."

Two Silver Cash in Waste Awards were made to IST Metz, for its MSB-5 UV system, and Teknek, for its Contact Cleaner web cleaning system.
