16 November 2012

Casfil - Indústria de Plásticos, Portugal’s leading producer of plastics films, has invests in a new BOPP film production line from Brückner – its second from the German manufacturer. Family-owned Casfil manufactures BOPP, CPP, LLDPE and barrier films for the Portuguese packaging, industrial, agricultural and medical sectors – but also for its strong export business.

The positive experience from the company’s last BOPP project convinced Casfil to team up with Brückner again and to order a comprehensive turnkey package. The new production line has a working width of 8.7m, a production speed of 525m/min and an hourly output of 6,350kg.

Ferreira Pinto, president and owner of Casfil, says: ”With our new BOPP project we will be able to satisfy the growing market demand in our inland and export markets. This long sighted investment perfectly fits into our strategy: to supply highest quality film, manufactured on first class equipment with utmost productivity and minimized energy consumption.”
