Case printing customized

28 July 2005

Iconotech will introduce its Customizer digital case printing system at Pack Expo in Las Vegas, September 26-28 (booth N7921). The Customizer is said to be able to handle mixed applications of flat cases, blanks, die cuts or multiwall bags. Designed as a stand-alone hand-fed machine, it can also be automated for in-line throughput.

Precise print registration is maintained to 3/16in, while an automatic inking system assures consistent print, says Iconotech. A user friendly control panel provides speed control, a batch counter, automatic stop, idle and print start controls, making machine operation easy and reliable.

The Customizer uses Iconotech's computer generated printing stencil for exact placement of very high resolution print. Special options include a movable print cylinder and cylinder lift said to provide ultimate flexibility of print placement of the 11in x 32in print field anywhere along the length of a case within the first 10ft. Text, logos and bar codes are printed directly onto boxes and bags, eliminating the need for expensive printing plates, preprinted boxes or labels.
