Carton conference

28 November 2005

Bobst UK and Pro-Carton have joined MAN Roland, KBA and Heidelberg as Platinum sponsors of next month's Carton Conference 2006. Converting Today is also associated with the event, along with sister publication Packaging Today International, and Flint Schmidt, Mayr Melnhof UK, Korsnas, and Printing World. The Carton Conference 2006 will be held on February 27-28, at Staverton Park Conference Centre, Daventry, UK.

BPIF Cartons and Pro Carton are jointly organizing the Carton Conference 2006 as a major industry event. The conference programme is in the final planning stage and promises to deliver "challenging, thought provoking and inspirational presentations".

Nick Higham, former BBC arts and media correspondent and now presenter of Factfile on BBC News 24, and a regular contributer to Marketing Week magazine, will be the overall chairman and summarizer for the programme.

As part of the build-up to the conference, carton converter Benson Box will be hosting a pre-event visit to its facilities for conference delegates.

John Monks, president of BPIF Cartons, and former group chief executive of MY Holdings, comments: "I am delighted that we have attracted such a range of high calibre sponsors and such distinguished speakers to this event. It emphasizes just how important the carton industry is perceived in the overall packaging supply chain."
