French manufacturer Calemard claims its Orion duplex centre surface slitter offers the speed, change-over times and high quality of finished rolls required by film converters. The compact Orion_S model is designed for slitting narrow widths of various types of products such as adhesives, foams, films, laminates, rubber down to 10 mm. Specially suited for gum and bias slitting, the machine only needs one operator and offers a wide range of cutting systems: crush, shear, razor blade and/or combined. “Perfect rewinding quality” and optimised cutting accuracy are claimed.
