Last month, Faes delivered a Quadro 300 TTR slitter to a customer in southern Europe. This latest model from the Swiss manufacturer converts thermal transfer ribbon and was designed as an entry level machine for small and medium operations.
Polish printer Winkowski has ordered a KBA Rapida 162 six colour coater press with delivery extension for printing cartonboard. The company, in which US print giant Quad Graphic has a major stake, will use the size 7 (63.75in) press to expand production capacity in its packaging division.
Sandvik Saxon Dieflex Ultra rules are said to combine good bend-ability with high wear resistance. Hardening ensures the sharpness of the cutting edge is maintained throughout long production runs and it has a friction reducing coating. Available as standard with a 42 or 52 degree cutting edge, the rules are supplied in a range of heights and point sizes.

Avery Dennison Graphics Division Europe has been licensed to offer its Avery 900 signage films in more than 1,000 Pantone colours. They will be available initially in the UK, then rolled out across the rest of Europe by the end of 2004.
