Supplier of stretching lines for oriented films for packaging the Brückner Group reports an extremely successful year. Orders in 2003 totalled €495M - almost doubling the turnover of the previous year (€254M). The figure for 2004 is expected to top €400M.
The German group claims it was able to increase its world market share for film stretching lines from 50 per cent in 2002 to over 60 per cent last year, "mainly attributable to the unexpected long term investment activity prevailing within the Chinese film market".
The company has also founded a subsidiary, Brueckner Middle East FZE, based in Dubai.
