Brückner BOPP line to break records

21 February 2008

A new 8.7m BOPP film line to be supplied by Brückner will be the world’s most powerful to date, it is claimed, with a net output of 6,300kg/hour while running at more than 500m/min.

The new line will enable Polyplex Corp, a major producer of thin polyester film, with manufacturing facilities in India, Thailand and Turkey, to take its first step into BOPP film production. To be installed at a new site in India, it will be equipped with a high performance twin-screw main extrusion system from KraussMaffei Berstorff and is scheduled to come on-stream by the middle of 2009.

Polyplex says the high quality PP film produced on the new line will contribute significantly to meeting India’s continuously growing demand for tapes and textile packaging, and lamination and metallizable films.
