BOPET film – the future

28 July 2011

PCI Films Consulting’s new report World BOPET Film Market Trends Statistical Update 2011 brings together global data gathered from manufacturers, users and machinery suppliers to provide an authoritative view of the current situation, the prospects for capacity growth and pricing, and forecasts thin and thick BOPET film markets until 2015.

The new report states that the global BOPET film shortage has eased to the point that supplies are now plentiful. Prices have eased considerably on the availability of extra volume from India.

While the thick film market will continue to grow strongly, flexible packaging continues to be the main driver for the industry, accounting for 54% of the total, and with prospects for continuing growth of around 8.5% per annum.
