Having completed its acquisition of German flexo press manufacturer Fischer & Krecke, Bobst intends to make the production facility in Bielefeld its worldwide centre of competence for flexo printing for flexible materials. Ralph Schuck will be the new director for all flexo printing activities on flexible materials as well as managing director for F&K. Former F&K md Andreas Kückelmann will now be managing director and chief technology officer.
Bobst’s Piacenza site in Italy will be progressively transformed into a group production facility similar to the existing sites in Shanghai, Itatiba (Brazil) and Pune (India).
