Bobst die cutter boosts CRP

17 July 2009

A Bobst SPO-160-Vision-PR die cutter has been installed at CRP Print & Packaging’s litho packaging business in the UK.

The new machine is fitted with a camera based print register system that allows for the each sheet to be adjusted and aligned correctly prior to the die cutting process. The print to die cut register this system delivers is 0.25 mm, eliminating any misalignment between printed sheet and litho laminated boards.

A turnkey Bobst operation since its start-up in 1999, CRP‘s litho business is now said to be the UK’s third largest manufacturer. The increased die cutting capacity matches the continued growth in sales the company has enjoyed over the last three years.

“Each of our customers has very different requirements,” comments sales and marketing director Dev Brahmachari. “The new Bobst will allow them to benefit from increased productivity, flexibility and capacity.
