Star attraction during the recent open house at Bobst's Mex, Switzerland, plant was the new Polyjoiner unit which, in-line with a Pacific or Alpina folder gluer, allows superimposition or joining of blanks to produce oversize boxes or create point-of-sale display units. It can also insert elements to create partitions within the finished box.
Because the Polyjoiner module can glue perpendicular to the direction of box travel, it "opens up unlimited prospects" to box designers, according to Bobst.
