At drupa 2008, Sappi promoted its Algro Design, Design Card and Design Duo smooth, bright white coated solid bleached boards with the message for brand owners, designers and printers: 'Dare to be different!'. It highlighted the message with the launch of a colourful, design-led, high impact product selector to demonstrate the brand's appeal for high quality packaging and graphics applications.
Algro Design, the one-side double coated board launched by Sappi three years ago, is said to have attracted an impressive number of high profile customers from the luxury products, fashion, cosmetics, perfume, health and personal care, confectionery, food, pharmaceuticals and graphics sectors. Recent line extensions Algro Design Card, a double front coated board with a single reverse coating, and Algro Design Duo, a symmetrical board double coated on both sides, have expanded the brand's applications.
