Biodegradable film production ahead of schedule

In Italy,Taghleef Industries has started production of its new Nativia biodegradable film a month earlier than expected.

Brückner was the main supplier of the new line at the plant in San Giorgio di Nogaro, which began production with transparent BoPLA films and will provide the market with the metallised films in the next few weeks.

Based on NatureWorks PLA biopolymers which are 100% made from renewable resources, Nativia is a biodegradable and compostable film complying with the European standard EN13432. Food applications include fresh produce, bakery, confectionery, snacks, dairy/perishable/lidding; and there are non-food uses in labelling and stationery
