Biodegradable boost

8 January 2003

British Polythene Industries – claimed to be Europe's largest processor of PE film and the leading UK manufacturer of construction films and refuse sacks - is using P2 biodegrad-able polymer from PVAXX to make cost effective compost- able bags and laundry bags.

BPI director Chris Smith confirms: "We are looking to the future by using PVAXX P2 materials to produce the range of biocompostable bags and films our customers are looking for. P2's ease of processing means we manufacture these new products on our standard machines."

PVAXX is working with commercial, local authority, educational and science projects to promote environmental innovation with processes that include extrusion and blown film.
