Better board

14 December 2005

Iggesund Paperboard is investing €43.6M on quality improvement measures on Iggesunds Bruk's KM2 board machine. The aim is both improved quality and greater quality consistency for the company's triple coated paperboard products for graphic production and packaging applications.

The improvements include a new wire section to the machine, increased capacity for chemical water purification, and a series of other quality control measures. The KM2 board machine was extensively rebuilt in the mid 1990s, enabling it to produce equal sided double coated paperboard.
