US quality control specialist Beta Industries has introduced electronic and video rulers to check material and substrate stretch and size differences between all stages of a print process before the run. The rulers are said to be ideal for measuring, viewing and documenting register, repeat length, bar code width and any parameters that require precise, non-contact measurements of large and small distances of films, plates, dies and prints for flexo, offset, screen, gravure, wide format – “anywhere precise measurement is absolutely critical“.
