Beardow Adams has developed an “easy to handle” film wrapped hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive block for converters. The EcoBlock weighs 1 kg and can be put straight into the hot melt tank, the thin outer film melting with the adhesive.
This new format is said to overcome the problems associated with traditional silicone paper packaging for “sticky-to-the-touch” pressure sensitive adhesives – wasted production time in unwrapping individual blocks and the creation of packaging waste.
The EcoBlock adhesive can be used for bag sealing, tape production and coating labelstock. Different formulations of are available for peelable, permanent and re-sealable applications. Direct food contact formulations are also available.
