25 April 2014

Aldershot, UK-based box manufacturer Beacon Packaging has invested £1.1 million in its a machine from Italian manufacturer Sipack - which is expected to create up to 10 new jobs and boost annual revenues "by up to a fifth".

Managing director Francois Eliet says: "The new machine makes the most of the space that we have and will add around 20-25% to production volume capability, significantly enhancing the productivity of the site. Previously, we had to make larger boxes in two pieces. We can now make most of these as one piece, improving the cost competitiveness of the product."
