AVT posts growth for Q2

Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), the provider of automatic optical inspection and quality assurance systems for the printing and packaging industries, has announced revenue of US $8.06M for the second quarter of 2007, an increase of 15.0 per cent over the same period in 2006 (US $7.01M). Its half yearly revenue rose to US $5.9M.

Whilst the net income for the quarter was up 13.9 per cent over Q2 2006 to US$ 1.94M, its net income for the first six months of 2007 rose 18.4 per cent to US $3.47M.

AVT also recorded a 50.5 per cent increase in order bookings whilst its service revenues rose by more than a third. The order bookings for the first half of 2007 totalled US $18.83M while its service revenues totalled US $1.17M, an increase of 38.2 per cent over the same period in 2006.

The company has also increased R&D investment in the first six months of 2007, up 28.9 per cent over the same period of 2006 to US $2.23M.

Looking forward, Shlomo Amir, president and CEO says: “The second half of the year will feature a strong presence at Labelexpo Europe in September, where the company’s entire range of solutions for label printers will be featured on our own and on industry-leading partners’ stands.”
