Auto loading system retrofits on most core cutters

24 September 2010

Appleton Manufacturing says core cutting can be done in less time with reduced labour costs by retrofitting its automatic loading system onto existing core cutting machines.

The basic system features two components: the parent core feeder system and the v-tray. The feeder system holds parent cores and delivers them to the v-tray, where a loading arm pushes them into position for cutting. Then the core is loaded back onto the v-tray for further processing.

The Appleton system’s modular design accommodates a variety of parent core feeding systems, from low volume, single-level delivery table models to high volume types which incorporate hoppers and elevator systems.

“The auto loading system components retrofit onto most pre-existing core cutting machines, making it a cost effective improvement during tough economic times,” says Mark Rasper, Appleton’s Engineering Manager.
