ATLAS PACKAGING INVEST IN NEW CORRUGATED MACHINERY

Atlas Packaging, one of the UK’s packaging leaders, has announced a major investment of over £1.75m this week, in a new, bespoke machine that will improve and enhance the packaging process.

The ‘Cuir Rotaflexo’ machine is a mechanical flexographic printing machine, which will allow greater flexibility in print to packaging solutions. The advanced specifications of the machine will provide a higher print tolerance, a premium quality print and provide a more economical and efficient process for customers

This Cuir machine is equipped with six print units with interchangeable anilox rollers, allowing for various print and detail solutions. This is also complemented with Infrared and UV dryers. The combination of rollers and dryers allow excellent print coverage with a greater vibrancy of colour and detail.

The Devon based business has grown enormously over the past year, and also opened a new logistics unit last month.

In addition, the advanced machine offers an array of finishes and coatings; from water based varnishes to high gloss UV. Cuir has the ability to produce high quality flexo-print that will challenge alternative printing processes usually associated with high quality packaging.

Jason Sharman, Managing Director at Atlas Packaging has said “We are very excited to reveal the new Cuir machine; it will provide greater, creative control for our clients and allow Atlas Packaging to be more precise with flexographic printing.

“We have had a very exciting month, firstly opening our new warehouse and now revealing our newest machine which will enhance the capabilities of Atlas Packaging further than ever before.

“We are extremely excited about the future of the company, these provide much more potential for the services we can provide and look forward to adding more reputable companies to our extensive portfolio!”
