The UK based Parkside Flexibles Group has opened its first overseas production facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Initially providing state-of-the-art laminating and coating technology, the second phase of the investment will see the installation of a new flexo press.
Parkside has chosen to install exclusively flexo printing machinery ‘for its unparalleled flexibility, speed-to-market and cost efficiency. The company says it believes the time is right to bring high quality flexo print to Asia.
Parkside has been supplying bespoke packaging to the tobacco industry for more than 40 years. It says 2010 will see it double the size of the business with contracts already won in Asia.
