Ghezzi & Annoni agent Eurograv reports an extremely busy 2008 in the UK, with the installation of a complete RS240 fully automatic slitting and packaging line and an FA300 fully automatic slitter, both for pressure sensitive adhesive tapes.
The RS240 is the seventh to be installed in the UK and this complete line, all manufactured by G&A, includes roll conveying from the slitter through to an ATi30 roll wrapping machine, labelling, box erection, roll insertion and carton sealing system - all linked up to the end user’s robotic palletizing system.
The RS240 automatically loads fresh 3 in cores onto the G&A differential rewinding shafts, whilst the machine strips these same shafts of the finished rewound product. Automatic turret, end cut and wipe-down (both on the fresh cores and the rewound product) allows the slitter to achieve up to 3 cycles/min.
Integrated with the slitter is G&A’s new ATI 30 tape packaging machine. This can pack rolls individually, as a tower or concertina pack, delivering up to 30 packs/min to automatic box filling, carton erection and sealing.
