Sainsburys and its potato packer Greenvale have become the first users of Amcor NaturePlus’ heatseal Materbi VFFS film within the fresh produce sector.
The 40 micron coextruded film is manufactured at Amcor’s extrusion site in Ilkeston from renewable and fully compostable materials, and is printed and converted at AF Ledbury.
The packaging is used on JS SO Organic Baby Salad Potatoes, 750g and is part of the supermarket’s environmental plan to change traditional packaging across its SO organic food lines.
