Amcor Flexibles in re-organization

28 March 2006

Amcor Flexibles chief executive Graham James is to retire at the end of June, 2006, and Amcor is taking the opportunity to simplify the company’s structure into three global business groups - Food, Healthcare and Tobacco. The existing Amcor Flexibles Corporate office structure will be incorporated within the new business groups and the current Gloucester head office facility will be phased out by the end of this year. Gérard Blatrix, Peter Brues and Jerzy Czubak will report directly to Ken MacKenzie, Amcor ceo and managing director.

The current Processed Foods and Fresh Food business sectors will be combined to form the new Amcor Flexibles Food organization, headed by Gérard Blatrix, currently md of the Fresh Food sector. The new group will be headquartered in Brussels. Ian Gunn, current md of the Processed Foods sector, has also announced his intention to retire at the end of June.

The existing European and Americas Healthcare businesses will come together as Amcor Flexibles Healthcare, headquartered in Chicago and led by Peter Brues, who has headed the AF Americas sector since 2003. Javier Rojo, md of Amcor Flexibles’ Health, Home and Industrial sector, will become executive vice president, sales and marketing, Amcor Flexibles Healthcare.

Amcor Rentsch will continue, as now, under the leadership of Jerzy Czubak, who will also take on responsibility for the tobacco business globally - as well as the AF operations in Poland and Russia. The Amcor Rentsch and Amcor Flexibles E Europe organization will be run from Rickenbach, Switzerland.

With annual sales of €1.5 billion and manufacturing operations in 18 countries, Amcor Flexibles is one of Europe’s leading flexible packaging businesses.
