Alcan in central Europe spend

15 July 2008

Alcan Packaging is to build a €17M state of the art flexible packaging facility in the Czech Republic’s Novy Bydzov area, to supply the emergent food market in central Europe.

The new plant will focus primarily on the production and gravure printing of high quality flexible packaging. It is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2009 and to employ 100 people in the first development phase.

“Our customers are growing and we will be able to better serve their needs and deliver reliable, innovative and high quality packaging materials,” says Michael Cronin, president, Alcan Packaging Food Europe.
