12 March 2013

Applied Extrusion Technologies (AET Films) has changed its name to Taghleef Industries Inc for operations in the US, and Taghleef Industries Canada Inc for the company in that country.

Taghleef Industries (Ti) acquired AET Films last May, and the name change reflects the further integration of the Americas business into the global Ti organisation.

Wilmington, Delaware-based AET Films - now Taghleef Industries Inc - is a leading supplier in North America of specialised oriented polypropylene (OPP) films for food packaging, product labeling, and non-food applications..

Ti, with headquarters in Dubai, has eight production sites around the world with a nominal capacity of 360,000 tonnes/year. The group manufactures BOPP (biaxially-oriented polypropylene), BOPLA (Nativia biaxially oriented polylactic acid) and CPP (cast polypropylene) films used in labelling and food packaging, as well as for building products, adhesive tapes and other non-food applications.
