Advances in smart label production

12 August 2005

A "completely re-engineered" smart label manufacturing solution will be introduced by Bielomatik at Labelexpo in Brussels (hall 6, stand 6F50) next month. The model TTL-100/165 machine is said to offer continuous high speed web processing from reel to reel for cost efficient production of smart labels. High productivity is promised, due to a low number of roll changes.

System features include real-time testing of UHF and HF tags, easy accessibility and short set-up times, and a modular design that allows growth in volume and adaptation to new products and processes. It provides 100 per cent inspection of the inlays, and will process both non adhesive and pressure sensitive stock, continuous or die cut.

The TCT-100/165 transponder coding and transfer machine will also be displayed, as well as the new T-100/165 Explorer entry level manufacturing solution, whose modules are fully compatible with the T-100/T-165 lamination machines.
